Spear has higher amount damage plus it gives you a little bit of a range advantage than the axe...

For me axe is good rather than spear of extreme. For satya...if you will used spear you cant used shield anymore because spear is two hand weapon..axe + shield = big defense and big hp.you have big resistance to stun
axe is one hand or two hand..better used axe one hand + shield.
